Ale ane hala kura ian e.
You eat rice with fish.

Kalo po ale ane oi naxa.
When you finish eating, go sleep.

Ana mahina to malopi, malopi! (with second word from last highly accented.)
That young girl is very beautifl!

Ana malona to gaga ni a!
That young man is very handsome!

Oi pasa-pasa huta gintan o
If you go lowly like the gintan (bush)

nata nitu pala loko emu
the devil will fear you

tapi kalau ale oi kura mankau ura riri
but if you go loudly, like the guheba-jaba cries

asu a mi imu.
dogs won't relieve themselves upon you.
