fene, "Wahan sapan e kim bakalax kano?"

Atar pol-paa dii du prepax fene, "Tuan Kolatu da bakalax ka."

Beko Kalampoo, da hairo.  La beto,  sira du sub date haix, Tuan Kolatu da
fetek e qei Kalampoo e fene, "Ku boa naq fafor na penik e."

Beko Kalampoo, da iko, paa da puna liat oto mua, paa da ibIx fafor dihe.

Lalen saa, Kalampoo, da hosax sup-supak, tu da xmata sataix fafor dihe.  Beko

La beto di bex dihe, gemtuat saa, da egu nax kokol, paa da ix taga hetax.  La
beto, Kalampoo da kitah e, da prepax fene, "Gemtuat e!  Gamahix la ku osox
sabo-bobok baa naa, la a ix stei penix.  Bama moo, do yako stei baa Tuan
Kolatu nake exroqan e."

Gamdi gemtuax dii, da oso fidi xroqan lalen e, tu Kalampoo suba, tu da heka.

Sup-supan, do atar pol-paa dii kadux tu du leba gemtuax dihe paa du polok e,
bu gemtuat e da laun fene, "Ore kane, Atar pol-paa, yako do Kalampoo mela, tu
Kalampoo heka haix!"

Bu atar pol-paa dii sadeh fene, "Mela ga!  Kae  do Kalampoo resek e!  Kae
niax kami!"  Beko du ix polox gemtuat e.

Bisux fildii, Kalampoo, da ix foi fidi masi.  La beto, da oli haix,  da ix
prepa laha Tuan Kolatu fene, "Tuan Kolatu, nam atar pol-paa polox kano
bex-beta fidi nam ama nitu siru nam ina nitu nunu skakut e!  Tu nam ina siru
nam ama du prepax fene, "Kae helen-helen gamlawex."

Beko Tuan Kolatu siux nax atar pol-paa fene, "Kim garu naqu xroqan saa."

Gamdii, nax atar pol-paa puna xroqan saa, tu du osox Tuan Kolatu fidi xroqan
lalen.  Beko du ptanak e gamlawex, beko du sai eta snegen lawe-lawe, tu du
prepax fene, "Polox finaa beka!"

Gamdii, du polox Tuan Kolatu, tu Kalampoo oli, tu da alax Tuan Kolatu nax
finhaaro, tu Kalampoo msikan puna Tuan Kolatu.

Kalampoo, according to some, should be Ka-rampoo.
Schut says that "r" and "l" are often interchangeable, and cites "rua" and
"lua," "ratu" and "latu," etc.
rampoot, a. big-eyed.
He thinks Kalampoo means, "The one who makes people wide-eyed."
In the Ambon dialect, the prankster is called Siribodo, a name also found on
Buru.
"Watiko!" is mentioned.

He translates "kopin" as "eye."
He thinks "boah" is a form of "baroah."
